All Eyes On You

They say that eyes are the windows to the soul. While that is debatable, the fact remains that the eyes are among the features that people will notice first, and, according to surveys, are most attracted to. We do not only use our eyes to see, learn, and discover the world around us, but also to express and communicate – our words could say one thing, but our eyes could reveal quite the opposite.

While facial skin deserves special care because it is constantly exposed to the elements, this is doubly true for the skin in the eye area – it is the thinnest and most sensitive on our face. This is also where signs of aging first appear and are more noticeable in the form of wrinkles and dark circles.

It’s never too early to care for those pretty peepers. Years from now, you’ll look back and be glad you did!

Get Enough Shut-Eye

If your eyes look tired and puffy after a night of little sleep, imagine what they’ll look like if you make this a habit. Sleep allows our body to repair and heal itself. It is essential for eye, skin, and overall health. Without enough sleep, eyes (as well as other organs of the body) don’t get to detox properly. Other effects may include eye dryness, irritation, sensitivity, and even spasms. Lack of sleep also increases the production of Cortisol – our stress hormone – which contributes to the breakdown of collagen that keeps our skin plump and wrinkle-free.

Stop Rubbing!

Rubbing your eyes is a nasty habit. It does not only cause further irritation and increase the risk of infection, but constant pressure and tugging causes wrinkles as well. That is why, when applying product around your eyes, it is always recommended that you use your ring finger (the weakest finger) in gentle, careful strokes.

Diet and Lifestyle

Eating food rich in antioxidants, omega-3 fatty acids, zinc, and vitamins C and E will not only be beneficial for your eye health and eyesight, but for preventing unwanted signs of premature aging. Quit smoking. Get some exercise to improve overall health, circulation, and detoxification. Drink plenty of water and cut down salt intake.

Protect and Repair

As skin in the eye area is only a third of the thickness of facial skin and more prone to damage, it needs extra protection. When going out in the sun, make sure your put sunscreen around the eyes, too, but use a hypoallergenic and non-comedogenic product. Wear sunglasses for added protection against UV rays. Use eye make-up that’s gentle on eyes. Han Eye Shadows are free of toxic chemicals, artificial dyes and colorants, synthetic fragrances, and other potential irritants. What’s more, these eyeshadows are enriched with antioxidants that nourish your eyes while providing long-lasting, brilliant color! At the end of the day, make sure to remove all traces of make-up. Use wipes, cleansing oil, or pulling water

that thoroughly clean your skin. Don’t forget to apply eye essence to correct and prevent signs of aging around the eye area.

See? Keeping your eyes youthful and beautiful isn’t that complicated – a little effort and choosing the right products will certainly go a long way!
